Dear Spring Creek Community, Many of you may have heard or read from the Provo City School District webpage and social media platforms that a new principal has been selected for Spring Creek. The new principal, Mrs. Ruth Ann Snow will start next school year. It is a very bittersweet time for me. My time at Spring Creek has been an amazing journey. We have done great things together. I appreciate all of the support and kindness that has been extended to me during my seven years here. I will miss many things but most of all I will miss working with your children. There isn’t much that is more satisfying to me than working with students and helping them make progress academically, socially and emotionally. They have beautiful souls. I will miss them. As you know, the teachers at Spring Creek work tirelessly and will carry on under the leadership of Mrs. Snow. She is a very capable and caring colleague of mine. I feel a lot of peace knowing that she will be taking over my role. I am grateful to have these last months to continue with the Spring Creek community before I move into a new position working with BYU in supporting elementary education students as they move out into the field as interns, student teachers and field study students. In the words of Dr. Suess, “Don’t cry because it is over. Smile because it happened.”

All Spring Creek students & families are invited to come & see the artwork Kindergarten – 6th grade have been working on in Art Class throughout the school and to watch the After School Hawk Theater perform “Seussical Kids” .

Dress Clothing and grooming should not distract from the learning environment.

All clothing should reach below mid-thigh length when seated. Clothing shall cover the midriff, underwear, backs, and chest at all times. Clothing with inappropriate pictures or messages are not allowed. Gang related styles and insignia are prohibited. Appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and PE class should be worn. Hats and attached hoods on jackets or hoodies are not to be worn inside the building unless it is part of a dress up day as designated by the school.

Lunch Kits During Spring Break Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County will be providing 7 days worth of shelf stable lunch kits for children during Spring Break. Priority will be given to children attending schools where the Club is already serving meals, but other residents of Utah County are also welcome to apply. Parents will have the option to pick-up meals at our Boys & Girls Club Provo Clubhouse (1060 E 150 N, Provo, UT 84606) on April 2, 2022 or have meals delivered directly to their homes on April 4, 2022 (residents do not need to be home in order to receive the meals, as all components are shelf stable).

2022-23 Kindergarten Registration Now registering new students for the 2022-23 school year. Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022 to be enrolled in Kindergarten. Estimada comunidad de Spring Creek, Muchos de ustedes pueden haber escuchado o leído en la página web del Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Provo y en las plataformas de redes sociales que se seleccionó un nuevo director para Spring Creek. La nueva directora, la Sra. Ruth Ann Snow, comenzará el próximo año escolar. Es un momento muy agridulce para mí. Mi tiempo en Spring Creek ha sido un viaje increíble. Hemos hecho grandes cosas juntos. Agradezco todo el apoyo y la amabilidad que me han brindado durante mis siete años aquí. Extrañaré muchas cosas, pero sobre todo extrañaré trabajar con sus hijos. No hay nada más satisfactorio para mí que trabajar con estudiantes y ayudarlos a progresar académica, social y emocionalmente. Tienen almas hermosas. Los extrañaré. Como saben, los maestros de Spring Creek trabajan incansablemente y continuarán bajo el liderazgo de la Sra. Snow. Ella es una colega mía muy capaz y cariñosa. Siento mucha paz al saber que ella asumirá mi papel. Estoy agradecido de tener estos últimos meses para continuar con la comunidad de Spring Creek antes de mudarme a una nueva posición trabajando con BYU para apoyar a los estudiantes de educación primaria a medida que se mudan al campo como pasantes, estudiantes de magisterio y estudiantes de estudios de campo. En palabras del Dr. Suess, “No llores porque se acabó. Sonríe porque ocurrió.”

Todos los estudiantes de Spring Creek y sus familias están invitados a venir y ver las obras de arte de Kindergarten a 6º grado han estado trabajando en la clase de arte en todo la escuela  y para ver la obra de Teatro Después de la Escuela llamada “Seussical Kids”.

Vestimenta La ropa y el arreglo personal no deben distraer la atención del entorno de aprendizaje.

Toda la ropa debe llegar por debajo de la mitad del muslo cuando  está sentado. La ropa deberá cubrir el estómago, la ropa interior, la espalda y el pecho en todo momento. No se permite ropa con imágenes o mensajes inapropiados. Los estilos e insignias relacionados con pandillas están prohibidos. Se debe usar ropa y zapatos apropiados para el clima y la clase de educación física. Los sombreros y las capuchas adheridas a las chaquetas o sudaderas con capucha no deben usarse dentro del edificio a menos que sea parte de un día de disfraces designado por la escuela.

Kits de almuerzo durante las vacaciones de primavera Boys & Girls Clubs del condado de Utah proporcionarán kits de almuerzo estables para 7 días para niños durante las vacaciones de primavera. Se dará prioridad a los niños que asisten a escuelas donde el Club ya está sirviendo comidas, pero otros residentes del condado de Utah también pueden postularse. Los padres tendrán la opción de recoger las comidas en nuestra casa club de Boys & Girls Club Provo (1060 E 150 N, Provo, UT 84606) el 2 de abril de 2022 o recibir las comidas directamente en sus hogares el 4 de abril de 2022 (los residentes no no es necesario estar en casa para recibir las comidas, ya que todos los componentes son estables).
