Last Week of School Information Monday – Tuesday – Summer Bridge Materials sent home. Please watch for these materials Wednesday – Field Day – wear appropriate clothing and shoes, apply sunscreen before you come to school. Thursday – Sixth Grade Graduation 10:00 a.m. Standards Reports and other Testing and Progress Reports sent home with students. Friday – Last Day of School – See information about the Dance Festival and checking students out below.

Dance Festival Information Friday, May 27th @10:30 a.m. We are excited to bring this event back to Spring Creek after several years of not being able to hold the Dance Festival due to COVID restrictions. Students will be dancing in the roundabout at the south end of the driveway. The area to the west of the school building will be blocked off to traffic after 10:00 a.m. Please plan to bring blankets or lawn chairs to use for your seating. The audience will be seated in the grass area to the east of the roundabout. Parents will not be able to enter the school building without checking in through the Raptor System after the event. If you would like to check your child out after the Dance Festival, teachers will be taking students back to the classroom to gather their belongings and sack lunches. They will then meet parents at the front of the school – 1st – 3rd grade on the north side of the front entrance and 4th-6th grade to the south of the front entrance. You will be able to check your child out with his or her classroom teachers without entering the building. We thank you for your patience as we do all that we can to keep students safe and accounted for.

Kindergarten Announcements Thursday, May 19th was the last day of Kindergarten Classes Be sure that you are aware of your scheduled time to bring your child in for the Kindergarten End of Level Testing. This testing is required.

Preschool Announcements Friday, May 20th was the last day of Preschool Be sure that you are aware of your scheduled time to bring your child in for the Preschool End of Level Testing. This testing is required.

Summer Bridge Bags Students will be bringing home a Summer Bridge bag on Monday. It contains a Summer Bridge activity book, 2 pencils, a sharpener, and a box of crayons. Your student’s teacher may have also added some items specific to her class as well. Spending just 15-20 minutes each day on these activities and reading for 15-20 minutes each day from a book of your choice will help prevent summer learning loss. Summer Bridge is an award-winning summer learning series that is an easy and proven way to help children retain their classroom skills. Research shows that on average, children can lose 2.8 months of grade-level equivalency skills over their summer vacations. Using this program can help students enter their new grade levels prepared and confident!

Summer Free Meals Program Provo City School District will offer free meals to children and teens ages 1-18 throughout the summer. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

School Lunch Program During the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government provided free meals to all students. However, this program was not renewed for next school year.

Free Bikes Provo Bicycle Collective is giving away FREE BIKES to elementary school students. This giveaway will be held on Saturday, May 28th at the Bike Collective located at 397 E. 200 N. Provo, UT.  Most bikes will fit children ages 4-9 and are given on a first come first serve basis. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Información para la Última Semana de Escuela Lunes – Martes – Materiales para Puente de Verano mandados a casa. Por favor fijense que lleguen estos paquetes. Miércoles – Dia de Campo – Usen ropa y zapatos apropiados, apliquen pantalla solar antes de venir a la escuela. Jueves – Graduación de sexto grado 10:00 a.m. Tarjetas de Reportes y otros reportes de pruebas y progreso van a ser mandados a casa con los estudiantes. Viernes – Ultimo Dia de Escuela– vea la información acerca del Festival de Baile y cómo retirar estudiantes abajo.

Información del Festival de Baile Viernes, 27 de Mayo @10:30 a.m. Estamos entusiasmados de traer de vuelta este evento a Spring Creek después de varios años de no poder  hacer el Festival de Baile debido a las restricciones por el COVID. Los estudiantes van a bailar en la rotonda en la punta sur del estacionamiento. El área al oeste de la escuela va a estar bloqueada al tráfico después de las 10:00 a.m. Por favor planee en traer una frazada o una silla para sentarse. La audiencia se sentará en el césped al este de la rotonda. Los padres no podrán entrar a la escuela sin pasar por el sistema Raptor en la entrada después del evento. Si a usted le gustaría retirar a su niño después del Festival de Baile, las maestras van a estar llevando a los estudiantes a la clase para recoger sus cosas y bolsas de almuerzo. Van a encontrar a los padres en el frente de la escuela– 1o – 3er grado en el lado norte de la entrada principal y  4o-6o grado al sur de la entrada principal. Podrá retirar a su niño con la maestra de clase sin tener que entrar al edificio. Les agradecemos por su paciencia mientras hacemos todo lo que podemos para mantener a los estudiantes seguros y contabilizados.

Anuncios de Jardin de Infantes El jueves 19 de Mayo fue el último día de clases para Jardin de Infantes. Asegúrese de saber su horario para traer a su niño a la Prueba de Nivel Final de Grado para Jardin. Esta prueba es obligatoria.

Bolsas de Puente de Verano (Summer Bridge) Los estudiantes traerán a casa una bolsa de Summer Bridge el lunes. Contiene un libro de actividades de Summer Bridge, 2 lápices, un sacapuntas y una caja de crayones. Es posible que el maestro de su estudiante también haya agregado algunos elementos específicos para su clase. Dedicar solo 15 a 20 minutos cada día a estas actividades y leer durante 15 a 20 minutos cada día un libro de su elección ayudará a prevenir la pérdida de aprendizaje durante el verano. Summer Bridge es una serie de aprendizaje de verano galardonada que es una manera fácil y comprobada de ayudar a los niños a conservar sus habilidades aprendidas en el salón de clases. Las investigaciones muestran que, en promedio, los niños pueden perder 2.8 meses de habilidades equivalentes al nivel de grado durante sus vacaciones de verano. ¡Usar este programa puede ayudar a los estudiantes a ingresar a sus nuevos niveles de grado preparados y seguros!
