Dear Parents,

It is the season of gratitude. I would like to express gratitude for your support as we work together to help students have a successful experience at school. They are learning so much. I am spending a lot of time in classrooms observing instruction and student performance. They are showing confidence and excitement for learning. It is the best part of my day when I get to be in classrooms. I am amazed by how hard teachers are working and by how hard students are trying to learn.

Correction — Thanksgiving Break is Wed., November 24th – Sun., November 28th. School Resumes on November 29th

Colder Weather Please remember that students need to come prepared to go outside every day. The weather is colder now. Please send children with coats. If you are in need of winter coats for your children, please reach out to Mr. Telford logant@provo.edu or your child’s teacher and we can assist with getting a coat.

Parent Survey Please complete our survey by Friday, Nov. 19th. Please do not complete it again if you have already done so. From the School Nurse As the cold and flu season is among us and Covid-19 cases are increasing, especially among school age children we kindly ask that you take a minute to read the following information from our school nurses. Also see the attachment.

In order to keep your children in school and healthy Please: *Keep your children home for any Cold like (even mild symptoms), Flu, stomach bug & Covid symptoms. (Please see attached Sick Policy). *Encourage your child to wash their hands and practice good respiratory Etiquette. *If someone in the home is being tested for Covid, we ask that you keep all unvaccinated children home until you have results. *If someone in the home is positive for Covid, please notify the school and follow quarantine & isolation guidelines. *If your child tests positive for Covid, please notify the school and follow the proper isolation procedures.

In order for your school nurse to be able to track how many cases are in the school and provide any classroom notifications we need a confirmed positive test result. An assumed probable case due to other household members testing positive and home Covid tests are not confirmed results.

Thank you for your cooperation, Hayden Pruitt, RN School Nurse, Public Health Nurse

Queridos padres,
