Pumpkin Fun in Mrs Martinez 1st Grade Class
Here is a little look at our pumpkin seed guessing! Each student wrote down a guess of how many seeds were inside of our pumpkin. We gutted the pumpkin and then counted the seeds making groups of tens! The student who guessed the number closest to the actual number of seeds got to draw the face on our pumpkin to turn him into a Jack O’Lantern. Ha Min was our winner. He guessed 510 seeds. Our pumpkin had 500 seeds! Wow! It was a fun activity! Now we will observe what happens to our Jack O’Lantern in the next few days.
