Padres de Spring Creek,

Happy Valentine’s Day parents!!  We have had a great week with some hairy weather and appreciate your patience with canceling the afterschool program yesterday and getting everyone in and out of the parking lot safely. Remember there is no school on Monday for Presidents’ Day.  

Weekly family talking point: Being trustworthy

We try and teach our students how to build trust with those around you. This is an important principle for our students to understand and will help them be successful in the future.

Thank you to all who participated in Kindness Week, and a big thank you to Miss Bevans, our art teacher, Spring Creek’s Kindness Club, and Mr. Parks, our social worker, for helping to make this week a success!

Conferencias de padres y profesores

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 26th from 1:45-4:00 and Thursday, February 27th from 1:45-7:00 pm. Some appointments will also be available on Friday, February 28th from 1:45-4:00. Estaremos usando el sitio web Sign-Up Genius para programar nuestras conferencias. Feria del Libro

¡Prepárese-la Feria del Libro Scholastic de Primavera viene a Spring Creek! Esta es una gran oportunidad para conectar con su hijo sobre la emoción de llevar a casa nuevos libros para sumergirse en una y otra vez. Los estudios demuestran que los niños leen más cuando eligen los libros por sí mismos. Un amor por la lectura independiente aumenta el éxito académico, además de los niños que leen con más frecuencia también informan de una mejor salud mental.

We will be open until 5:00 pm on Wednesday and until 7:00 pm on Thursday during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please stop by and shop before or after your meeting with your child’s teacher.

5º curso Campamento Big Springs

Cada verano el Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Provo, en conjunto con Parques y Recreación de la Ciudad de Provo, provee un Programa de Educación al Aire Libre (campamento de verano STEM). Este es un programa co-curricular que es una extensión del actual currículo STEM de quinto grado. Los estudiantes que acaban de terminar el quinto grado están invitados a participar y pasarán cinco días en un campamento ubicado en el South Fork de Provo Canyon, donde participarán en actividades tales como experiencias prácticas de ciencia, artes y artesanías, deportes y recreación y programas de fogata.
