Philosophy

Our music program seeks to:

• Develop the innate musicality in each child.
• Develop music literacy – the ability to think, read, write, and create music.
• Impart a sense of cultural identity through the use of folk music.
• Make available to the children the great art music of the world.
• Encourage the performance abilities of all students by singing in class, as well as participating in choir and orchestra.
