Welcome 1st Graders!

Good things to know:

• School starts on Monday – Friday at 8:35 a.m.  The late bell rings at 8:45 a.m.
• School ends on Monday-Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
• Every single Friday is an EARLY OUT day.  School ends at 1:30 p.m.  Plan accordingly.

Please make sure your student arrives on time.

On great weather days we line up outside the south glass doors near the playground.  On rainy or very wet snowy days we line up inside the school, outside our classroom door, sitting on the floor quietly until the bell rings.  The red flag is hanging inside if it’s an inside day.

Our weekly Specialty Classes are:

• M/W Art and Music
• T Computers
• Th Library/P.E.

HOMEWORK

Homework is sent home each FRIDAY with your student.  You have a whole week to work on homework.  It is one page with Language Arts on one side and Math on the other.  HOMEWORK RETURNS TO THE CLASSROOM EACH THURSDAY!  Please make sure your student has finished the work and returns it to the teacher on Thursday mornings. The students should be reading with you or being read to by you for 20 minutes each day.  This really helps them become great readers!

Thanks for all you do to support your cute little first grader!  I love them and we try to have happy, great days every day here at school.
