Spring Creek Parents,

     We have made it two weeks into the school year and most of us are still standing:)  It has been so much fun getting to know your kids and seeing their awesome personalities.  Last week we had an assembly reminding our students of our SOAR attributes. Showing Kindness, Own your learning, Act safely, and Respond Responsibly.  We talked about what it looks like to demonstrate these attributes and your kids had great things to say about it.  We also talked about students trusting their capacity to learn.  We did a demonstration on how brilliant our brains are and how much we can fit in them.  We had a ton of fun.  Ask them about the styrofoam demonstration and hopefully they can relate it to what we had hoped they got out of it.  

    Coming up we will be having our 1st annual Watch DOGS Pizza night. We want dads and father figures to come and eat pizza with their kids and come volunteer at our school!!!  Letters came home today with a tear off section that you will return to the school By Tuesday so we can get a count of how many pizzas we need to buy. The letter is also attached. Come and join us for a fun night on the 29th at 5:30-6:30

ANNUAL POWERSCHOOL UPDATE REQUIRED FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

Reminder to update your online forms in PowerSchool at grades.provo.edu if you have not done so already. All parents/guardians are required to update the online forms in their Parent Portal Account on Powerschool every year. Contact the school office at 801-370-4650 if you have forgotten your login information and they will reset it for you.

After School Program

The Spring Creek After School Programs will begin on Monday, September 9th. Please check your email on Monday, August 26th to see if your child has been accepted / enrolled in the program, which days they will attend, or if they will be on a waiting list! Choir

PTA

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our PTA meeting this morning! Our next meeting will be at the school on September 13th at 10:00am and we’ll be focusing on planning for the Spectacular (our annual color powder-throwing festival)! We can’t wait to see you there!

Spring Creek PTA

Family Reads

Family Reads notes were sent home last Friday. If you didn’t see one, we’ve also attached the note below.  Don’t forget to request a book from our Family Reads Google form if you haven’t already. There is more information on how to do this on our school website. We hope those who got books last Friday and today are enjoying reading them with their family! When you finish the book remember to take a picture of your family with the book and email your picture and a short review to Mrs. Blair ( michellebl@provo.edu). We will post these on our Family Reads bulletin board. After you’ve done this, you can request another book!
