Spring Creek Elementary School

September 20, 2024

Spring Creek Parents,

A BIG thank you to our PTA for getting things lined up for the Spring Creek Spectacular on Monday!  Today we saw our school shirts for the first time and they look fantastic!!  Thank you PTA for getting this all done.  Our school shirts say to discover your strengths at Spring Creek Elementary because that is what we are trying to focus on this year as a school, everyone’s strengths. I read a book in the beginning weeks of school to your kids called The Piece That is You.  It compares students as a piece of a stained glass window and how each of them bring something different to the table.  All of our students are needed to make up the Spring Creek stained glass window.  When they are not here there is a hole.  We need what they bring to our school.  Next week we will be sending out an email to all parents asking for you to identify 3 strengths of your children.  The teachers will also identify one strength of your child and we will post these on the student’s desk so that they can be reminded of the strengths they have and so that we as school faculty can also be reminded of them so we can make them a focus.  Start thinking about a strengths of your children and look for that email that will come next week.  Thank you for all you do to help your kids become great Human Beings!!

Sincerely,

Jay Porter

Principal, Spring Creek Elementary
