Spring Creek Elementary School

Dear Spring Creek Families,

Thank you for supporting your student in completing the Principal’s Winter Break Reading Challenge. We had students collectively read over 28,000 minutes over the break! It was fun to celebrate with Krispy Kreme donuts last Friday. In the coming weeks, you will be receiving information about how to sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences. Please plan on attending in person or via Zoom with your child’s teacher. Teachers are eager to share your child’s growth and progress in school. Parent Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday and Thursday, February 1 and 2. Please save the date!

I hope you all enjoy the extended holiday weekend. We look forward to seeing students back and ready to learn on Wednesday.

Sincerely, Mrs. Snow, Principal

Here is the link to our STEM Page for January, where you can find the links to the required applications and helpful information to get your project started!

Applications for the after school support club are also open for the STEM Fair! There is only one more date to get help on your project, so sign up soon. Kindergarten – 4th grade will meet on Wednesday, January 18th. 5th – 6th grade will meet on Thursday, January 19th. You can pick up a hard copy application, or you use the link above to print them yourself. If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Kempter at  jessicak@provo.edu.

STEM Night

On Thursday, January 26th at 6:00 PM, Spring Creek will be holding its annual STEM Night inside the Gym. All families are invited to come view the projects and awards ceremony.

At the event, participants will be given a SWAG bag and a certificate. Prizes will also be given to the 1st and 2nd place winners from K – 4 and 5 – 6. All participants will also be automatically added into a raffle for some amazing STEM prizes donated by the PTA!

All of the winners will be announced during STEM Night, so make sure to come and support our school!

Family Reads – Request your FREE book!

Parents, just a reminder that effective now, instead of each family being able to request a free book, we are opening it up to each student! We hope this change will help build your family library at home and encourage reading at home together as a family. Please be sure to submit a request for your free book on our Family Reads form!

If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Blair. ( michellebl@provo.edu)
