Dear Spring Creek Families,
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! The Spring Creek faculty and staff are excited to welcome students back to school. Back to School Night will be Monday, August 14 beginning at 5:30 pm in the school gym. I will share a short presentation with information for parents and students and introduce teachers—we have a few new faces! Teachers will be in their classrooms from 6:00-7:00 pm to meet students and parents.
Back to School Night is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet their teachers and ease the transition back to school. Because school starts in a few short days, no class placements will be changed. Teachers and administrators spent countless hours using a uniform procedure to place students in balanced classes. If your child is experiencing anxiety about beginning the school year, I encourage you to reach out to your child’s new teacher and set up an appointment with them. Our teachers are eager to help each student feel safe and comfortable in the classroom. If additional support is needed, our school social worker and other student success specialists are here to help. If you are unsure how to contact your child’s teacher, call the school office and they will connect you with them.
As we begin a new school year, please note that students should not arrive at school before 8:15 a.m. There is no supervision outside the school and the doors are locked until this time.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16, 2023 for 1st-6th graders. Please review the SCHOOL SCHEDULE for the first 5 days of school. DISMISSAL TIMES are different from years past to accommodate district bus routes.
As we SOAR into a new school year, we are excited to welcome your students to Spring Creek!
Sincerely, Mrs. Snow, Principal
