Thanks to all dads and father figures who came to our DOGS and donuts night. Over 400 donuts were consumed and we had many dads sign up!! See the link below to watch a video celebrating our watch DOGS!
Next week is kindness week and parent teacher conferences are right around the corner. Please sign up as soon as possible. Sign up information is on this post. We are currently working with our Multilingual students with their WIDA (language testing). Please remind them to do their best!!
Weekly family talking point: coping when things are not going your way
We try to help students cope with frustration by providing them different coping strategies and helping them put things into perspective. This is hard when, to a kid, sometimes not having the right color of pencil can ruin their day.

In order to accommodate working parents, our next PTA meeting will be on Thursday, February 13, at 5:30pm at the school. You’ll get to hear from our principal and school staff about all the good things going on at our school, and you’ll also get to be a part of the planning for Staff Appreciation Week (March 24-28). Our school’s Kindness Club, in partnership with Spring Creek PTA, is getting ready to host an awesome Kindness Week, which will take place February 10-14. See attached flyer for daily themes and dress up days.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 26th from 1:45-4:00 and Thursday, February 27th from 1:45-7:00 pm. Some appointments will also be available on Friday, February 28th from 1:45-4:00. We will be using the website Sign-Up Genius to schedule our conferences. Please see our school website to access your teacher’s Sign-Up Genius page and sign up for an appointment with your child’s teacher.
Please sign up as soon as possible so that we can arrange for support with translation and other assistance as needed.

Each summer Provo City School District, in conjunction with Provo City Parks and Recreation, provides an Outdoor Education (summer STEM camp) Program. This is a co-curricular program that is an extension of the current fifth grade STEM curriculum. Students just finishing fifth grade are invited to participate and will spend five days at a camp located up the South Fork of Provo Canyon where they will be involved in activities such as hands-on science experiences, arts & crafts, sports & recreation and campfire programs. Hello everyone Mr. Parks, our school social worker speaking here. I know dental assistance can be a really challenging thing to find for your little ones. Here is a great resource if you are able to qualify. However, if you do not qualify, they still offer prorated support as well. This may be a more viable option for your family during these tough times.
See the Utah County College of Dental Hygiene website below for information about the Give Kids a Smile event on March 1, 2025.
Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in Orem we will be holding Utah County Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) dental event. Volunteer dentists and hygienists will be on-hand to provide exams and perform limited procedures for qualified children. To qualify for this program, household income must be at 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (see chart on website).
If you meet the qualifications, and would like your child to receive dental care at this event, please fill out the the Health History and Consent Form below no later than February 20, 2025. The Utah Give Kids a Smile event has limited slots available. Complete this form as soon as possible to secure your child’s free appointment.
If your application(s) is eligible you will be contacted for confirmation, and receive information about scheduling a specific time one week prior to the event.
