Spring Creek Parents,

     We had a good week and students have been learning a lot of great things.  We have been finishing up Acadience reading testing and getting our baselines for the year in student learning. I am loving to get to know your kids! They brighten my day.

      I wanted to take some time to talk to you about discussions to have with your children.  We live in a world unfortunately where some ugly, unhealthy and inappropriate things can creep down to our younger students down at the Elementary level.  I want our students to be prepared for being confronted by these things that may make them feel uncomfortable and unsafe.  Please be having conversations with your kids about potentially harmful things that they could encounter, such as Drinking, Smoking, Drug Use, Physical Aggression, and Pornography.  You are your child’s parent and know when to have these discussions with your kids.  Help prepare them to be able to respond appropriately to peer pressure when it comes to these items. You are the first line of defense for your kids and we appreciate all that you teach them at home.  Continue to do so and know that you are an integral part of your child’s academic and social/emotional progress.  Thank you for raising great kids!!

The deadline to order this year’s school shirts has passed, but we will have a limited quantity of shirts for sale at the Spring Creek Spectacular on Monday, September 23, from 5:30-7:30pm. Color powder can still be purchased online until Tuesday, September 17 by clicking here: https://springcreekpta.givebacks.com/store?limit=21&live=true Please join us on Monday, September 23rd, for an evening of food trucks, color powder-throwing, music, dancing, grade races, and a prize drawing!

ANNUAL POWERSCHOOL UPDATE REQUIRED FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

Reminder to update your online forms in PowerSchool at grades.provo.edu if you have not done so already. All parents/guardians are required to update the online forms in their Parent Portal Account on Powerschool every year. Contact the school office at 801-370-4650 if you have forgotten your login information and they will reset it for you.
