Important Information & Dates for Week of September 30th
September 27, 2024
Spring Creek Parents,
Thank you for making our fall spectacular so much fun this year! This is my first time being a part of it and let’s just say I am still finding blue in my left ear. It was great fun and a great success. We are headed into fall so just a reminder to start bringing jackets as the weather cools. Then have your children not lose their Jackets…we have a full lost and found and will be taking the items to Deseret Industries on a monthly basis. We have reminded students to check the lost and found and it is on their way to lunch each day but the lost and found is still full. Just a reminder to have your kids check if they have been missing something.
I have seen a lot of great teaching in our school from Mr. Whitmore making a crazy peanut butter sandwich using students’ instructions to teach about detailed instructions to giant flying black tubes in Mrs. Foster’s class to teach about air density and the effect of heat on air molecules. I have seen Kindergarteners learning how to form letters and 6th graders dealing with decimals. Your kids are resilient in their efforts to learn here at Spring Creek and our teachers truly are doing a remarkable job. We love your kids and want them to succeed. Please reach out if you ever have any concerns or questions about happenings in the school. Thank you for all you do for your children.
Sincerely,
Jay Porter
Principal, Spring Creek Elementary
