Mrs. Stilson’s class had Ms. Bailee Merrill visit on Friday, Nov. 3rd to talk about her career as a journalist working for the Utah Valley Magazine. Ms. Merrill gets to interview, learn, and write about interesting people around our area.

Ms. Merrill taught students that asking specific questions make a story great and that every story matters! Students took turns interviewing each other using the questions Ms. Merrill uses when she interviews a person for her magazine articles. They learned a lot about the ways each of them celebrate Thanksgiving.

We appreciate Ms. Merrill’s time and willingness to share her exciting career AND that she brought each student a recent copy of the magazine to take home! We love that she can write such great stories and share them with so many of us in Utah Valley! Thanks, Ms. Merrill!
