  1. Call to Order/Introduction: Olivia Goldman (President)
  2. Pledge of Allegiance: Cristina Bray
  3. Official PTA Business: Olivia Goldman
    1. Nominations for President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, Teacher VP read as follows: President Elect Nicole Hill, President Ashley Rayback, Treasurer Lochsley Allred, Secretary Lindsey Stockdale, Administrative VP Jay Porter
    2. No other nominations or anyone is running for positions from the floor.
  4. School Board Report: Jennifer Partridge (excused; Ashley Rayback – President-Elect)
    1. Follow Jennifer Partridge’s Instagram. 
    2. The lease bond being discussed should be an additional $13 of property tax a year, for a $100,000 home. More information on this is on Jennifer’s Instagram. Should affect your home in 2029.
    3. Boundary and feasibility study was done—preliminary results in. No urgent changes noted. 
    4. HB 455 we are encouraging legislators to support this legislation. Puts guardrails on Utah Fits all program. 
    5. Updated 2025-2026 calendar, they are starting a day later. 
  5. Principal Update: Principal Jay Porter (Administrative VP)
    1. The book fair is coming up, next week February 24th-28th. Looking for volunteers.
    2. Watchdogs Donut Night was successful. 
    3. WIDA testing for our multilanguage students over the last 3 weeks is now finished. Ice cream was given to those kids. 
    4. Kimmy Martinez wanted parents to know that uur play is on March 27th this year along with our arts salon. May ask PTA for help to get art set up.
  6. Teacher VP Report: Pam Foster (excused; Olivia Goldman will share feedback from teachers)
    1. Digital Safety Week and Kindness Week programs received positive feedback from teachers. 
  7. Community Outreach Report: Kimmy Martinez
    1. Jay gave announcement on play and arts salon

  9. Upcoming Events/Volunteer Opportunities:
    1. Book Fair: February 24-28 (scan QR code to the right) 
    2. PTC Dinner: February 27
      1. Jenny and Ashley are doing Olive Garden
    3. Maturation: March 28
      1. Need 65 cookies to be dropped off at the school that day (Just 5th Graders) Malisa Whiting volunteered.
    4. Staff Appreciation Week (“There’s No Place Like Spring Creek” – The Wizard of Oz/Wicked)
      1. Daily Themes & Dress Up Days (volunteer to make a flyer)
        1. Monday: “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” (Wear crazy socks)
        2. Tuesday: “Twister Tuesday” Dress up as if you’ve been through a tornado. 
        3. Wednesday: “Glinda or Elphaba?” (Wear pink or green)
        4. Thursday: Wake Up in Oz” (Wear your pajamas)
        5. Friday: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” (Each grade wears a different color of the rainbow)
          1. Amanda will make the flyer.
      2. Staff Appreciation Ideas:
        1. Allow parents to show appreciation to their kid’s teachers and staff (volunteer to create a Google form and a QR code to put in the staff workroom asking what classroom supplies staff need, favorite treat, drink, and store (for gift card purposes)) Stephanie Siswick volunteered to make Google form
        2. Parents to take over bus duty (would need extra training; should we still do it?) May be helpful on days we have breakfast for teachers. (we need about 3 volunteers, Lochsley, Olivia, )
        3. Thank you cards from students during lunchtime that says, “You Are Ozsome” (Nicole Hill)
        4. Daily 3-prize drawing for staff (volunteers to ask for donations in the community) (Lochsley, Stephanie, Olivia)
        5. Door decorating (scan QR code to the right) 
      3. Assembly on Friday-Ashley
        1. Minute-to-win-it games
        2. Create a signup genius for teachers to sign up for a game to play, or consider involving students in the games.
  10. Treasurer Report: Lochsley Allred (Treasurer)
    1. February 2025 report
    2. Budget Amendment: Adding $1,000 to the Education and Individual Development category for the purchase and setup of TV in the lunchroom
  11. Lochsley moves to amend the budget for TV in the lunchroom.
    1. $1,000 increase in the Education and Individual Development budget category. 
    2. Jenny seconded
    3. The budget amendment passed with all votes in favor of amending the budget none opposed
  12. Secretary Report: Cristina Bray (Secretary)
    1. December minutes stand as approved. 
  13. PTA Volunteer Spotlight:
    1. Jay and Brooke for being so supportive of PTA and making sure communication to parents regarding PTA events goes out in a timely manner
