- Call to Order/Introduction: Olivia Goldman (President)
- Pledge of Allegiance: Cristina Bray
- Official PTA Business: Olivia Goldman
- Nominations for President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, Teacher VP read as follows: President Elect Nicole Hill, President Ashley Rayback, Treasurer Lochsley Allred, Secretary Lindsey Stockdale, Administrative VP Jay Porter
- No other nominations or anyone is running for positions from the floor.
- School Board Report: Jennifer Partridge (excused; Ashley Rayback – President-Elect)
- Follow Jennifer Partridge’s Instagram.
- The lease bond being discussed should be an additional $13 of property tax a year, for a $100,000 home. More information on this is on Jennifer’s Instagram. Should affect your home in 2029.
- Boundary and feasibility study was done—preliminary results in. No urgent changes noted.
- HB 455 we are encouraging legislators to support this legislation. Puts guardrails on Utah Fits all program.
- Updated 2025-2026 calendar, they are starting a day later.
- Principal Update: Principal Jay Porter (Administrative VP)
- The book fair is coming up, next week February 24th-28th. Looking for volunteers.
- Watchdogs Donut Night was successful.
- WIDA testing for our multilanguage students over the last 3 weeks is now finished. Ice cream was given to those kids.
- Kimmy Martinez wanted parents to know that uur play is on March 27th this year along with our arts salon. May ask PTA for help to get art set up.
- Teacher VP Report: Pam Foster (excused; Olivia Goldman will share feedback from teachers)
- Digital Safety Week and Kindness Week programs received positive feedback from teachers.

- Upcoming Events/Volunteer Opportunities:
- Book Fair: February 24-28 (scan QR code to the right)
- PTC Dinner: February 27
- Jenny and Ashley are doing Olive Garden
- Maturation: March 28
- Need 65 cookies to be dropped off at the school that day (Just 5th Graders) Malisa Whiting volunteered.
- Staff Appreciation Week (“There’s No Place Like Spring Creek” – The Wizard of Oz/Wicked)
- Daily Themes & Dress Up Days (volunteer to make a flyer)
- Monday: “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” (Wear crazy socks)
- Tuesday: “Twister Tuesday” Dress up as if you’ve been through a tornado.
- Wednesday: “Glinda or Elphaba?” (Wear pink or green)
- Thursday: Wake Up in Oz” (Wear your pajamas)
- Friday: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” (Each grade wears a different color of the rainbow)
- Amanda will make the flyer.
- Staff Appreciation Ideas:
- Allow parents to show appreciation to their kid’s teachers and staff (volunteer to create a Google form and a QR code to put in the staff workroom asking what classroom supplies staff need, favorite treat, drink, and store (for gift card purposes)) Stephanie Siswick volunteered to make Google form
- Parents to take over bus duty (would need extra training; should we still do it?) May be helpful on days we have breakfast for teachers. (we need about 3 volunteers, Lochsley, Olivia, )
- Thank you cards from students during lunchtime that says, “You Are Ozsome” (Nicole Hill)
- Daily 3-prize drawing for staff (volunteers to ask for donations in the community) (Lochsley, Stephanie, Olivia)
- Door decorating (scan QR code to the right)
- Assembly on Friday-Ashley
- Minute-to-win-it games
- Create a signup genius for teachers to sign up for a game to play, or consider involving students in the games.
- Treasurer Report: Lochsley Allred (Treasurer)
- February 2025 report
- Budget Amendment: Adding $1,000 to the Education and Individual Development category for the purchase and setup of TV in the lunchroom
- Lochsley moves to amend the budget for TV in the lunchroom.
- $1,000 increase in the Education and Individual Development budget category.
- Jenny seconded
- The budget amendment passed with all votes in favor of amending the budget none opposed
- Secretary Report: Cristina Bray (Secretary)
- December minutes stand as approved.
- PTA Volunteer Spotlight:
- Jay and Brooke for being so supportive of PTA and making sure communication to parents regarding PTA events goes out in a timely manner
Our next meeting will be on Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m.
