9:30-9:45 NWEA data
NWEA test is in math for the whole school. Grades K-12 take this test. The test is given at the beginning of year, middle of the year and the end of year. Currently our school is at 37% for the middle of the year. Currently the leadership is working on and looking at ways to be able to help the student population to be able to achieve higher growth and achievement. Need to close the gap for the students when there are holes in the instruction. Are the same kids that aren’t showing up not performing well? It has an impact, but not the amount that we aren’t seeing. Behavior can affect their academics as well.
9:45-9:55 Parent/community concerns or discussion Items:
How do tiered interventions work? We have the most impacted students working with trained teachers. Do we need more people to be able to help? Does money affect that? Yes, there always need to be more trained professionals, but we also need to know. Can also address with legislators about resources that are needed to be able to help the students.
