Whittingham’s 2nd Grade Class: A Day in the Chocolate Factory
Over the past couple of months we’ve been reading Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the chocolate factory”! The kids have loved hearing the story as we did it for read aloud every day. We finished it last week and celebrated by having a Wonka Factory Day! We practiced our shapes and partitioning them with chocolate “paint”, had the great chocolate taste test and wrote opinion pieces on our favorite one, made our own Wonka hats, compared and contrasted the book to the movie, got personalized chocolate bars from Willy Wonka himself 😉 and so much more! We had so much fun! I know I’ll remember this day forever and I hope they will too. Seeing the smiles on their faces all day was priceless!
