School Psychologist Appreciation Day – Zack Cusworth

We are so grateful to have Zack Cusworth at Spring Creek this year. He is currently a school psychology intern for the Provo School District where he is working in a couple of elementary schools. Zack’s desire to become a school psychologist stemmed from his desire to support children in their academic pursuits, his love for research-driven practices and data collection, and his understanding that he was not strong enough to become a math teacher like he originally believed in second grade. Zack has found that what he enjoys most about working as a school psychologist is first the students and the hijinks they get into, second the teams and personnel he works with, and third the office spaces he is given to work in, which has included storage closets (but you can make any room fun with posters and a good attitude!). Zack’s research interests focus on the formation of gender identity and LGBTQ+ supports and resources. Zack has a wonderful wife and daughter who have been instrumental with their support and love as Zack has pursued this profession. Thank you Mr. Z for all you do!
