Dear Spring Creek Families,
We celebrated so many acts of kindness seen and unseen this past week at school. It is heart-warming to see and hear of the thoughtful ways students and teachers have gone out of their way to show others acts of kindness this week. We talked about how kindness can be demonstrated in simple ways like smiling at someone, telling someone they did a good job, or taking responsibility for a mistake, apologizing and then forgiving someone.
Last Friday, February 17 was PTA Founders Day and I want to sincerely thank our PTA members who work tirelessly to support our teachers, staff and students in countless ways. Every month I have the opportunity to attend PTA meetings and watch how our parents thoughtfully plan and provide meaningful, fun and enriching activities for students and staff. However, their service and dedication extends far beyond what they do inside the walls of the school. Our PTA consistently advocates for our students and families, builds relationships with government representatives who ultimately determine educational priorities and monetary appropriations. All of this cumulative work blesses our Spring Creek community. I know I speak for everyone at Spring Creek when I say thank you for your dedication and work!
This week we have an Evacuation Drill on Tuesday. This is also a short week with no school on Monday, February 20 to celebrate President’s Day. We look forward to seeing students on Tuesday.
Sincerely, Ruth Ann Snow, Principal

CUSEF STEM Fair
At the District STEM Fair, a few of our 6th grade students were chosen as honorable mention winners. These projects have the opportunity to register into the Central Utah STEM Fair and have been given an invitation letter. If you are invited to participate, you can make improvements to your tri-fold poster. Congratulations to Lydia Blodgett, Evelynn Cook & Aeris Gunby as well as Benson Teemant, Owyn Kauvaka & Ignacio Garcia. For more information on registering, visit the District Website. We are so proud of our participants! Keep up the awesome work Spring Creek!
Family Reads
Parents, just a reminder that effective now, instead of each family being able to request a free book, we are opening it up to each student! We hope this change will help build your family library at home and encourage reading at home together as a family. Please be sure to submit a request for your free book on our Family Reads form!
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Blair. ( michellebl@provo.edu)
