Important Information & Dates for Week of May 19th
May 16, 2025
Spring Creek Parents,
We would like to announce our new Community Council Members that were voted in this last election. Olivia Goldman, Thomas Tabi, and Brenda Hernandez were our top vote getters! We appreciate all those who ran and hope that you will seek to still be involved in Community Council and in other ways in our school.
As way of announcement, we also won a grant from the Laura Bush foundation for $5000 dollars to support our library!! Thanks to Mr. Tim for working hard to get this grant!! Also this week we celebrated our district nominee for teacher of the year Mrs. Kempter. She is a fabulous teacher and very deserving of the recognition. Finally we also had several teachers be recognized at the Provo School District Board Meeting for reaching some rigorous benchmarks with students at a high risk school. The state recognized these teachers for their accomplishments with a nice bonus. They are Mrs. Linda Rossiter, Mrs. Jackie McDermott, Mrs. Leslie Stilson, Ms. Maren Clayton, and Mrs. Shelley Reeves. Congratulations!
Weekly family talking point: What are we going to do to have an awesome summer??
Thanks to all our parents and staff here at spring creek! We love you and are so grateful for your hard work and dedication.
Thank you,
Jay Porter
Principal, Spring Creek Elementary

Dance Festival
Dance Festival is Wednesday, May 21st @ 10:00am
Students will be dancing in the roundabout at the south end of the driveway. The area to the west of the school building will be blocked off to traffic after 9:30 am. Please plan to bring blankets or lawn chairs to use for your seating. The audience will be seated in the grass area to the east of the roundabout. Parents will not be able to enter the school building without checking through the Raptor System after the event. If you would like to check your child out after the Dance Festival, teachers will be taking students back to the classroom to gather their belongings and sack lunches. They will then meet parents at the front of the school – 1st-3rd grade on the north side of the front entrance and 4th-6th grade to the south of the front entrance. You will be able to check your child out with his or her classroom teacher without entering the building. We thank you for your patience as we do all that we can to keep students safe and accounted for.
