The Spring Creek STEM Fair is on January 26th!
General Information
For general information about the STEM Fair, see the following slides. You can also watch the video below for more specific information! These slides will give you specific information on how to set up your project, the rules of your project, and information on the other fairs for 5th and 6th graders. If you have any specific questions, reach out to Mrs. Kempter.
Applications
If you are interested in participating, you need to submit a project application. An application is required and due by January 23rd in order to participate in the STEM Fair. Any project without an application will not be accepted. Either pick up a hard copy from Mrs. Kempter in Room 212 or use the links below.
Each group needs to turn in just ONE application. Please fill this form out in English, although your project may be done in your chosen language.
Free Tri-fold Poster
If you fill out an application form, you can receive a free tri-fold poster from the office! First, you must turn in the completed application to Mrs. Kempter. Once you turn in an application, Mrs. Kempter will give you a “coupon” to redeem your poster from the front office. You will only receive a poster from the office if you have a coupon!
STEM Night:
On Thursday, January 26th, Spring Creek will be holding its annual STEM Night inside the Gym. All families are invited to come view the projects and award ceremony.
At the event, participants will be given a SWAG bag and a certificate. Prizes will also be given to the 1st and 2nd place winners of each grade. All participants will also be automatically added into a raffle for some amazing STEM prizes donated!
All of the winners will be announced during STEM Night, so make sure to come and support our school!
After School Support:
If you are interested in personal help on your STEM Fair project, we have a support club that will meet after school twice in January! Here are the meeting dates:
*1st – 4th grade
Tuesday, Jan 10th
Wednesday, Jan 18th
*5th – 6th grade
Monday, Jan 9th
Thursday, Jan 19th
To participate in the after school support club, you must fill out and turn in an ASP application! You can either get a hard copy from Mrs. Kempter in Room 212, or use the links below. If you do not submit an application, you can not be accepted.
Sign ups for the after school support club may be competitive, so sign up as soon as possible! You will need to fill out a form in order to be accepted. Applications are due the Friday before each meeting date so that buses can be accurately assigned.

Judges
If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, we need some judges!
The judges would arrive on the day of our STEM Fair, January 26th, around 8:30 for a complimentary breakfast, then judge the projects starting at 9:00 AM. This should only take about an hour. The rubrics will be provided to you online. We only need a few more judges (preferably also one that speaks Spanish!)
Parents of participants are welcome to participate, they just aren’t able to judge their own child’s project. If you would like to be a judge at our school STEM fair, please sign up here!

If you have any questions, email Mrs. Kempter at jessicak@provo.edu or stop by her room in 212.
