Spring Creek Elementary School

This year in the library, 3rd-6th grades have been participating in a reading program called Battle of the Books. Those students wishing to participate formed teams of 4-5 and read 20 books. The teams then were asked questions weekly about the books and earned points for correct answers. The top 4 teams for the 3rd and 4th grades and  the top 4 teams for the 5th and 6th grades competed in an assembly to determine the top school teams. This year’s champions were Team Gaming Warriors from Mrs. McDermott’s class and Team Royal Readers from Mrs. Bringhurst’s class. Team members for the Gaming Warriors are Tavish Steele, Asenath Yamamoto, Gon Ngyuen, and Karizma Nye. Team members for the Royal Readers are Audrey Moore, Madeline Trunk, Kim Hone, and Amelia Blodgett. These 2 teams competed at the district level against 11 other teams from elementary schools across the district on April 21st at Provo High School. They represented Spring Creek well and did their very best!
