Effective Teacher in A High Poverty School Incentive
These dedicated teachers from Spring Creek were awarded the “Effective Teacher in a High Poverty School Incentive”.
Congratulations to Linda Rossiter, Laurie Hansen, Lisa Bringhurst, Michelle Blair, Allie Stewart, and Heidi Isaacson! There were only seven teachers awarded in Provo City School District and six are from Spring Creek!!!
We are so happy for these teachers and for the ability the state provides us to acknowledge the extreme efforts you put forth to help students in extreme poverty show growth on end of year state testing.
This legislative rule is awarded to teachers in 4-12th grades who teach in highly impacted schools (above 70% Free/Reduced lunch) and who have a mean student MGP (growth) of at least 70% in at least one subject area. The incentive is provided based on data from two years prior to the current year.
We greatly admire their dedication and their determination as these teachers have been recognized for more than one school year, and some in more than one subject area. These teachers were recognized at the School Board meeting on April 20, 2021.
