Rumpelstiltskin’s Purpose
Hello. My name is Rumpelstiltskin! I am the finest Little Man the world has ever known!
What’s that? You don’t know who I am? HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHO I AM?! CLEARLY your education is severely lacking!
Go! And don’t come back until you’ve read my story!
The Brothers Grimm did a terrible job telling my story. I am not meant to entertain! If I were an entertainer, I would have been an actor. A no-good, dirty-rotten, good-for-nothing, pretending actor.
Your job is to re-tell my story–but NOT as entertainment! You need to persuade the world that I am the BEST there ever was!
And don’t plagiarize. You have to REWRITE my story, not COPY what you just read. That’s cheating, and proves you’re just as bad as those no-good, dirty-rotten, good-for-nothing pretending actors.
You may have FOUR keynote slides (plus a title!) to retell my story. Every slide needs at least one picture. You will be judged on how well you accomplished your task, how good the pictures are (I’m beautiful, so flatter me!), and whether or not you persuaded the world how wonderful I am. Hop to it!
