Spring Creek Elementary School

May 7, 2023

Dear Spring Creek Families,

As we begin another week of school, I want to give a big shout out to you and your students for the HUGE improvement we have seen in our daily attendance the last 2 weeks. Our overall absentee rate has gone from 12% to 5% in a matter of weeks. Let’s keep this positive trend and momentum going until the end of the year.

I am especially proud of the dedication and perseverance that I see in our students this time of year. I am equally proud of our incredible teachers and staff who tirelessly work to meet the vast needs of their students. The month of May is a time for students to demonstrate their learning and growth on state summative assessments. We hope you can encourage your students to do their best, practice a growth mindset and keep their focus on learning.

Lastly, as you might imagine as the school year draws to a close and students feel antsy and ready for summer, we see an escalation of behaviors that can disrupt learning. I hope you are able to engage in conversation with your student about the positive moments of their school day as well as areas where they might need to improve. As always, our daily focus is to be KIND, be SAFE and be RESPONSIBLE.

Enjoy the remaining days of school! I hope to see you at the school as we celebrate the end of a successful school year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Snow, Principal
