Spring Creek Elementary School

Spring Creek 1st graders in Mrs. Clark, Mrs. West and Mrs. Martinez’ classes were treated to a virtual farm tour through BYU Nutrition students and Dairy West!  We went to a dairy farm in Buel, Idaho.  Farmer Deb gave our students and a class from American Fork a tour of their dairy farm.  We learned all about what cows eat, how many babies they have, how they are milked, what happens to the milk in order to get it to us clean and delicious! The BYU students taught our students about how important good nutrition is and how to achieve it.  Technology is awesome!  Farmer Deb could see us and talk to us, we could talk to her and we also conversed with the cute students in American Fork!  Great STEAM activity!
